We will be CLOSED on January 24, 2026.

Milo here is letting everyone know that HCHR will be CLOSED on Saturday, January 24, 2026 due to the weather. The horses and barn cats will be well taken care of while we have some cold weather.

A question many have asked is whether we blanket the horses or not during cold temps. Older horses and ones that may need a bit of help regulating their body temperature will be blanketed. A board member checks on the rest of the horses once temperatures drop to ensure everyone is doing well.

While it is not unusual for our area to have cold weather, dropping into the teens is. Send the horses some warm hugs!!!
